ACADEMIC POLICIES

 

Curriculum Offerings

All curriculum policies and procedures are established by the Diocesan Superintendent of Schools with the advice and assistance of local school administrators, various curriculum committees, and religious community supervisors.  Guidelines for specific curriculum areas are available for the use of teachers, and for the inspection and information of the parents of students attending Immaculate Conception School.             The following subjects must be successfully completed by every student for promotion to the next grade:  Religion, Mathematics, Reading , Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Physical Education. Art, Music, Instrumental Music (optional), Library and Technology are also offered to students.

 

            A student is promoted only if he/she has successfully completed the requirements of the grade level.  The final decision on promotion or retention rests with the principal.
